Hosting sub-forums in a different directory

I just bought this today and my primary question at the moment is how I can move my sub-forums to another dir on my server? I would like to have a series of sub-forums all as seperate sub-domains to make it easier to advertise. For instance I would have tech.****.com and music.****.com, but each of those domains would be a sub-forum of the full network.

Appreciate any help that may come my way.

My mistake, I actually want to host categories in sub-domains. Can anyone help?
