catergorys in columns

Just a quick question, would it be possible to put the catergories in columns instead of just forums using a hack that is offered.

I ask this because i run a forum that deals with trading card games such as yugioh MTG etc and have many catergorys, so i would like to do something like what this hack does: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=99829 but just for catergorys.
