How to easily upgrade styles?
I'm curious to know if there is an easy ability to see templates that have been edited at a glance. i know that custom templates are "orange" but it isn't so easy to see which ones have been truly modified and which are part of a style that are custom templates. There are two circumstances I can see this being incredibly useful.
(1) the differences between styles, e.g. mystyle v.1 and mystyle v.3 so if you are upgrading styles, you can also apply all the customizations in your templates to apply to the templates of the new and updated style. (2) what templates in your current style have been modified with custom coding so that you can apply your customizations to another style that you may like. If you've done customization to an uploaded style, how can you spot those templates that contain your customized code that was changed from the style upload? Having a tool like this would make upgrades and application a LOT easier! Thanks to everyone for thoughts and ideas. |
