ICQ, AIM, MSN, Yahoo Online Status
Looking for the vBulletin 3.6.x version? Developer: adb22791 - originally written for 3.0.x by BeerMonster Current Version: 1.0.6 vBulletin Version: Tested and Working on 3.5.7 Edits: 2 Template Edits (3 if you use both postbit and postbit_legacy) Please note: This modification only works on vBulletin versions 3.5.3 and later. This modification has not been tested on vBulletin 3.6.x yet. What it does: This modification displays your AIM/ICQ/MSN/Yahoo Online Status in the postbit_legacy or postbit templates, as well as the member info page, using an icon. Uploading the modification will add a new setting category called IM Online Status, where you can choose the server you use to display a users IM Online Status. Server lists, etc, can be found at OnlineStatus.org. There is also an option built in to turn this mod off and display regular IM Online Status Icons, should you have problems. To Install: Download the .zip file attached here, and upload the product via the plugin manager in your admin CP. Then open Install.txt in the zip file and follow the instructions for template edits. To Upgrade: If you are running version 1.0.5, follow the instructions in 1.0.6's Upgrade.txt. If you are running later than version 1.0.5, please upgrade to 1.0.5 and then 1.0.6. Current Bugs: (all current bugs fixed in 1.0.6) -None Reported Support Please ask for support in this thread only. I will try my best to answer whatever question you have, or to fix whatever problem you are solving. Please also make sure that an issue you are having has not already been reported. Changelog (Please note this is a limited changelog, the full changelog is included in the zip file). Version 1.0.6 (5th January 2007) Updated product to work with vBulletin 3.5.7Version 1.0.5 (16th June 2006) Incorrect template variables fixed ("$post[username]" and "$userinfo[username]") A few notes about custom icons... I have found through testing that using custom icons on your web server can make the online status icons load a lot faster. I suggest you download the icons from whichever online status server you use, and upload them to your forum directory (I put mine in images/icons). This is not necessary, just a little tip. Please Please Please remember that even tough this hack is stable, things can still go wrong. I cannot and will not be held responsible for anything this hack may do to your forum or theme. As always, I recommend that you backup your database before applying this hack. Also please note that I reserve the right to remove this mod at any time. If you use this mod please click Install. Old Versions
Since the latest Online Status Icon hack doesn't work on 3.5.0 or 3.5.1, I have decided to re-release the older version as-is. This version has no support and I strongly reccomend you upgrade to vBulletin 3.5.3 or later. |

/onurl=www.yoururl.com/icon1.gif/offurl=www.yoururl.com/icon2.gif/unknownurl=www.yoururl.com/icon3.gif I will add this to the documentation, and see what I can do about adding this to the Admin CP in later versions. Thanks, |

Great mod but I discovered one little hiccup. I had previously modified "first_visit_message" and noticed it was still coming up instead of the new pharases in the mod.
I went to the phrase editor and saw that I had to "Copy default text" to replace my modifed text and then save. It's working great now. To recap: On the off chance you have modifed your welcome text you must go to the phrase editor and copy the new default text to the editor and then save. Thanks. Cal |
