Add additional Sub Links?

I would like to add additional sub-links to the left column.
I have added images to illustrate what I'd like to do.
Image one is what I have with the current code.
Image 2 is what I would like to see when I either do a mouse over or click on it which would then have a popup with links in it.

Does anyone know the code to make this work....
