Well I was looking at 'top' yesterday for several hours when I had 180 online, and my conclusion:
Hardly any 'swap' is being used. However: Sometimes, my RAM usage is EXTREMELY high. I have 1024MB RAM and there's only 70MB free right now (it's 2pm in UK) Also, my server load seems to be above 0.8 for most of the day now, it's above 2 at peak times. There really aren't many sites on my server to be honest. I don't know what's going on. I have 2 sites that are just using PHP (no MySQL) but are quite popular (not THAT popular) and then there's my forums; about 180 online at peak times. Pentium 4 2.4Ghz 1GB RAM cPanel 7.2.1 S85 That's one powerful server and handling those 3 sites should be no trouble yet it is trouble and for what reason I do not know. Server load is constantly high, RAM usage is sometimes very low, even at peak times, but sometimes its very very high... help ![]() |
