@corsacrazy - Optimise your .php files, turn Gzip compression on, and remove unnecessary information from your database (i.e. post pruning etc)

That actually would increase server load, but decrease bandwidth.

GZIP increases server load as it uses more of your CPU (server load calculates proportion of CPU being used, with 1.0 being 1 CPU used). The higher you set GZIP, the more the server load, so you should set it to 1, as any higher would increase the server load and provide only minimally more compression. It is used to save bandwidth, not server load.

With over 100 online for hours everyday now, I don't care about bandwidth, but server loads are rising, stupid GZIP ><

Anyway, we can still tell on Xenon for, for for for for, er, talkin about index.php
