If I have to use Linux then I'd prefer to use Gnome However I think I will allways prefer Windows (NT based versions) to Linux or any other OS.

I used to in section #1 just hated windows . Or another way of putting it ..i hated PC's, after a few years i got my first pc & got introduced to the devil aka winblows 95 (floppy disc version).
Then i used a dual boot system. Now this weekend i moved my trustworthy linux firewall into the hallway after crashing (1 year , 3 months , 2 days uptime). And created a machine out of spare parts (Amd Duron 800, 512mb SDram. Various Nic's (ISA IBM EtherJet , Sis900 100TX , DEC 490x) , 60gb & 40gb ide dirves (ata100) and a few other spare parts). Got my Beta codes out and downloaded 2003. It's now been installed for 24 hours, and after a few initial gripes everthing is running perfect. Havnt installed any firewall , apart from using the built in one (not the noob one). Looks nicely built and is compareable to iptables. Also another note is my internal network is IPV6 based & was easier to setup then most linux systems ive used. However as with all MS products .. Room for improvement. |

If your an experienced Unix user than your box should have no problems at all. I still get the blue_screen_of_death every other time I install a program on my XP system. Professional Windows User; how in the hell do you become that?! |

I ran XP for 3 months on a 1.5 ghz system with 256 megs of ram and it crashed often. I can run Redhat 9 on a much lower system with no problems at all. |
