What is a users rank #? Or how do I make one...

I want to have the users rank show up in their postbit and possibly their getinfo. Like if someones the 3rd top poster, it would say:

Rank #3

etc. I saw this before but can't seem to find it. Thanks.

Hi 006!
You can easy use Usertitles for this!!
Because html is enabled in Usertitles.

So when you have titles like (for examble) Member, Premium Member...

do this:

Member<br>Rank #2
Premium Member<br>Rank #1

... than set the posts for the titles.

Can be done, but all the ways I can think of would involve adding a query to each post in showthread, which makes it query intensive.

To make it query-conservative would require a lot of work - adding a new column in user, running a query each time a member makes a post to re-rank every member - it's not going to be good for the server.

Ah, yeah Erwin that's too bad to hear, but it makes sense. That would really be bad I guess lol.

And Kars, thanks but I meant so each user would be ranked, like if there were 100 users, there would be an order from highest to lowest, and these each would have numbers. These ranks would change with each post the user made, and like Erwin said, this would require a database query every post, which I didn't think of at the time I posted this.

Oh well.

And btw Erwin, I like your little clickable button lol.
