IpInfo -- Extra user IP information (VB4)

# ipInfo v. 2.0 for vBulletin 4.x
# ---------------------------------------------------------------- # Copyright ?2004 Jordi Romkema. All Rights Reserved. # # Ported to VB 4 by: Zachariah - http://www.szone.us IpInfo is a replacement for the standard 'view users ip' option in vBulletin. Normally when you click on the view ip button in a user's post you'll only see his or hers ip address and host name. With ipInfo you'll get more information. Besides the ip address and host name you will also see what other users have posted with the same ip address. That feature can be really good for spotting clones. Another thing ipInfo will show you is what other ips this user has posted with and how many times. Could be useful when you want to ban all of the ips of a user and not just the one of that post. ================================================== ===== Upload: 1 file Add: 3 templates Added: 9 phrases Added: Admin setting ================================================== ===== Tested: vBulletin Version 4 vb 3.7/3.8 ver VB 3.6 ver. Any update for version 4.2?

On the original IP Info button, when you hover the mouse over it, it shows you the IP used when posting. With this mod, although you get a more detailed IP history page, you can't actually see the IP used when posting (it shows nothing on hover).
Can you please let me know how to make it display the IP on hover? Thanks! |

I've noticed on the original IP Info icon, we get this code:
Code:
<img class="inline" src="{vb:stylevar imgdir_button}/ip-40b.png" alt="{vb:rawphrase ip}" title="{vb:rawphrase ip}: {vb:raw post.ip}" /> |

Has anyone successfully tested this on 4.2.1 yet?

According to this post, https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....3&postcount=59 it is working on 4.2 so I don't see a issue with 4.2.1
Best thing to do is try it out on a test site before using it on your live site. |

Yeah that's what I figured but I also have Paul's IP mod and was wondering if they'd conflict with each other. I'll try it anyways. Some useful features in this mod. Hope it works

Are you going to test this on a live site? If so do a backup first in-case something blows up.

Seems to work OK, but it is saying that some members have had a lot of IP addresses over the past 60 days. Is that normal? I think they used verizon. Could verizon be changing it, or is the member changing it?

It could be a few things, a dynamic url, or they are browsing on mobile devices and are getting a url with whatever service they are connecting with.

Well I know they don't have a phone or tablet, so it must be the dynamic url or they are doing it themselves. Is there any way that I can check or verify if it's a dynamic URL?
