Hello pals,
Im looking for a "low" cost server that allows me to deliver big ammounts of data transfer. I'll be basically using this server as a download server, so I can releave my other servers for mysql, images and php processes. So this server wont need to be running a MySQL server or anything, possible just php.
I am looking for at least 2TB bandwidth and 100/200Gb storage capacity.
Let me know if you find something like what I am looking for.

Well, if your board has high demands, you can always add the PS support option to your current plan. Check there stie for more info. Start with your forum @ best and when it encounters issues, just upgrade to the PS plan which acts like a VPS. You maintain all your own bandwidth. The PS gives you protected processors and RAM to your current package. What I like is you can always keep uping that amount of CPU access and ram that you need. If you add too much, you can always bump it down @ anytime.
Laterz.
Oh, for another 10 bucks a month, dreamhost will give you now like 10TB of bandwidth and a 40GB bandwidth increase a week!

I am in Asia, I concern the connection speed .
Concerning your message, here is a test link. I've downloaded at 900kbps many times.
Oh and they just added a new option for 10 bucks a month, you get 10TB a month with a 40GB growth every week.
The part that kills you is if you overload the cpu. DL's do not affect that. Insane blogs and insane forums will do that, but now they have this cool option on top of every host of a PS package where they dedicate ram and processors to your package, so you maintain the 10TB of bandwith. It's like a add vps to a shared package. They have a 97 day guarantee, so it's worth a try. I'm a happy customer
dont forget, that most US based people who live in an area where business class Verizon FIOS is available should consider an affordable in-house solution for medium and smaller boards.
You can get a Dell PowerEdge 2900 with a dual Quad Core Xeon 3.2, 8gb of RAM, a very nice 1TB SCSI Raid5 array, 1 year RedHat Enterprise subscription and a warranty for just under $8,000 USD. That may sound high, but consider what you'll pay over teh course of one year.
Verizon FIOS business class costs just under $200 a month.
You can get that same server from a dedicated provider for 380/month. So why pay the 8k up front cost? If your still paying 200$ a month for verizon you should just get the dedicated.
It would take you: 44 months to pay off the 8k investment. and in 44 months im sure there will be a new server you will want..
I am from Turkey, and hosting is to expensive in here
that's why I want to move my website/forum to another hosting company
so I have some question in my mind
* Which company should I choose ? Some people say softlayer.com is good some people doesnt
* If I move my website to outside the country, will visitors can reach the website as usual ? I mean sometimes we are having a problem to reach the website which host outside the country
*how much am I going to pay for each month?
