Hi,
this is untested
I've made a changelog, but perhaps I will never test it.
There are so many changes that it's more easy for me to reinstall the hacks.
2002/04/10 : made a better version, but still not tested all functions
1. minor change in calendar.php
2. parse error in global.php
3. minor change in member.php (wrong preload of template)
4. wrong filename misc.php instead of moderator.php
5. some descriptions lost for admin/functions.php
5a. => initialisation of wrong variables
6b. => some securety patches lost
7. minor change in showthread.php
8. major change in admin/thread.php (wrong place pached)
9. first file mod/thread.php is really mod/announcement.php
10. second file mod/thread.php is really mod/global.php

Araxis is about $120-180 depending on the version you want... check it out at their homepage www.araxis.com - you can download a FULL-FUNCTION demo that works for 30 days - that's all you need really.
I'll never post something again witch I can't support. Currently I'm under (big/great) pressure (in/by/because/to do) (work/buissnes). [offtopic]oh dear - my english[/offtopic]
I have to shift 1 more week. More weeks may follow.
But I have testet third time on my own computer, it works from unpatched 2.2.4.
I did the upgrade on my forums today, moving from 2.2.4 to 2.2.5 with the help of Araxis Merge. My VB installation is typical of most, I guess, with a dozen or so hacks and quite a few template modifications in place. It took me about 2 hours to do with several breaks along the way to do other things.
I would not want to attempt this without a program like Araxis merge. Hands down, it's the best thing going for this sort of upgrade!
Only one or two of my hacks didn't survive the upgrade and those were simply because the existing hack code did not have opening and closing comment lines to give me a hint that they were hacks and not outdated VBulletin code.
The few hacks that didn't survive were very easy to fix afterward by simply reapplying the bits of code that got overwritten. Firefly deserves a huge round of applause for making it easy for us to keep track of what hacks we have installed through the forums here at VB.org!
Anyway, just thought I'd pass my story along. It wasn't nearly as painful a process as I suspected it might be and I won't hesitate a moment to tackle the upgrade to future versions the same way.
