upgrade from 2.2.4 to 2.2.5

Hi,

this is untested

I've made a changelog, but perhaps I will never test it.
There are so many changes that it's more easy for me to reinstall the hacks.

2002/04/10 : made a better version, but still not tested all functions

1. minor change in calendar.php
2. parse error in global.php
3. minor change in member.php (wrong preload of template)
4. wrong filename misc.php instead of moderator.php
5. some descriptions lost for admin/functions.php
5a. => initialisation of wrong variables
6b. => some securety patches lost
7. minor change in showthread.php
8. major change in admin/thread.php (wrong place pached)
9. first file mod/thread.php is really mod/announcement.php
10. second file mod/thread.php is really mod/global.php

ATTENTION: for some rason the download of the attachment changes automatically:
{ firstaltcolor } to #F1F1F1
{ secondaltcolor } to #DFDFDF
{ tableheadbgcolor } to #006633
{ tableheadtextcolor } to #FFCC00
DON'T CHANGE THE {xxx} !!!

Argh -- I'm sorry, can somone move this to BETA???

Remi 04-08-2002 05:05 PM

In the announcement for 2.2.5 they said that they changed the /admin/usere.php file.

I could not find it here.

Thanks

Hi,

I ckecked it again, I canot find differences.

scsa20 04-08-2002 08:12 PM

hmm...stupid question but I'm still new, so, what does this do anyways??

Erwin 04-08-2002 08:34 PM

It's a hack that you install that upgrades your 2.2.4 to 2.2.5 while preserving existing hacks.

scsa20 04-08-2002 09:11 PM

oh, this should of came out before I upgraded it ;)

TaP 04-09-2002 01:48 AM

any way to make an autoinstall?

The Keeper 04-09-2002 03:38 AM

Yes, you can use vbHackMaker by FireFly to create a more automated installation. It has futzed up a hack I previously made, so I feel more comfortably doing things manually anyway.

Does this hack work? If so, then it's excellent because I hate having to rehack all my hacks every week when jelsoft finds another security hole.

archgimp 04-09-2002 05:46 AM

didn't work on our test board... but then it was seriously heavily hacked already...

still, thx anyway... was prolly my fault NEway.. ;)

heheh :D
