I use godaddy shared hosting and they have been pretty stable. I run a small board, 40 users or less at max normally so I haven't put them to a real test, but they've done well so far. The customer service, while not always the smartest, has always been instant, this is something I require with my new host.
I am looking to switch to a similar plan with a new host that can support that latest version of vbulletin since vbulletin 3.6 requires php version 4.3.3 or later and godaddy only gives up to 4.3.1 on shared hosting plans.
My plan specs are below:
200 GB Space 2,000 GB Transfer
2,000 Email Accounts FREE! Software
50 MySQL Databases Unlimited Email Forwards
Forums, Blogging, Photo Galleries No ads

Zachery, its exactly what they count on, not using it ! I run dedicated servers and a HDD would cost me more to manage than their provided 200Gbs, however am one of those who use it ! i have added a shared plan and am using 130Gbs of it so far aside from database storage that they do not actually count over your space account but i know am one of a very very few who does.
But, guys should read over the terms of agreement, they specify that space provided shall not be used for storage or backups of unused files, so they have the right to terminate the agreement if they find a whole lot of unused or transferred files existing on your 200Gbs,
So far, the data i have is approx all used by my members and so far i have had not one single complaint, i have it all backed up and am not relying too much, am just using it till i find out what terminates it
All these hosts that offer so much disk space and traffic will limit you on CPU usage of the server. So if you use a certain percentage of CPU use you will be suspended/asked to move/etc.
i simply suggest sparrowhosting.net a great privately owned host who is dependable and works to please. See http://sparrowhosting.net for the plans he offers, and let me know if you are still interested cuz i can get you a deal....
Well I was worried about the size of my hosting company, but thanks to this thread I have a more objective view of the plans and average usage...
My hosting service is on www.HostMonster.com no complaints so far...
200gb/space
T2/bandwidth
I paid 3 years for only 250 usd or so... alot of features that I couldn't find on GoDaddy or 1&1...
and I recently got a plan with www.PowWeb.com
60+ usd 1year
300gb
T3...
Anyone have an experience or advise on these hosting services?
