Moderation Auto-PM
Version 2.0.1
What is it?
Moderation Auto-PM will automaticly send a Private Message to the user whenever their thread, post or attachment is moderated using the Thread Tools or Inline Moderation Tools.
It has support for the following types of moderation:
Thread: Move
Thread: Delete
Thread: Undelete
Thread: Stick
Thread: Unstick
Thread: Open
Thread: Close
Thread: Approve
Thread: Unapprove
Thread: Title Edit
Post: Edit
Post: Move
Post: Delete
Post: Undelete
Post: Approve
Post: Unapprove
Attachment: Approve
Attachment: Unapprove
All options can be turned on/off in the AdminCP. Moderation Auto-PM will not show the user where their thread is being moved to/from if they do not have permission to view the forum. You can also set a "master" exclude list of forum IDs that will never be touched by Moderation Auto-PM.
What's new in Version 2.0.1?
Added support for opening and closing threads by double-clicking on the thread icon
Fixed a bug caused by a missing phrase
Credit for this release goes to ConqSoft, as he notice the missing phrase bug, and suggested the new Ajax open/close feature
What's new in Version 2.0?
Fully compatible with both vB 3.5.4 and vBulletin 3.6 Beta 2 or above!
Support for editing posts / titles using the ajax quick edit bits
Support for deleting posts via quick edit
Don't send a PM if you are moderating your own thread
Send a Delete PM instead of a Move PM if moved to a particular forum (ie, a recycle bin type forum)
Age Cutoff Point - if the item is over a certain age, a PM won't be sent
A couple of tiny bugfixes that no-one noticed
How do I install / configure it?
Please see the install.txt file contained within the zip.
How do I upgrade?
If you are upgrading from a previous version of this mod (any version), just upload the 3 PHP files, making sure to overwrite the old ones and re-import the Product XML, making sure you set "Allow Overwrite" to Yes.
If you are upgrading from PM on Thread Move, please uninstall that hack first, then install this one following the instructions in install.txt
Thanks go to redlabour for kindly providing a German translation for the phrases and to everyone who nominated this mod or voted for this mod in HotM June
Important: Unfortunately, my leased vBulletin licence has now expired, and I won't be renewing it until September which means I will be unable to reply to this thread, or update this mod until then. I'm hopeful that the great vBulletin.org community will step in to answer any questions in my absence though See you all in early September!

Thank you, I intend to upgrade our PHP and Database very soon (within the next two weeks) so I will see what happens then.
I have found a separate issue.
In exclude forums I have excluded a heavily edited forum (100 odd edits a day, we do have 100k members who just love to be edited), but the hack is still PMing the poster.
Couldn't get this working at first. First I thought it was because I didn't have an exclude forum (early bug mentioned in this thread), then I found you fixed it later. Then 180-odd posts in I found you don't PM when the thread originator moves their own thread!!!!
I don't know about you, but when trying it on our test forum, that seemed the easiest thing to do Could you make it optional maybe? Or at least make it clear in the documentation?
It seems to be working at the moment, but I think there's a legacy message problem from a previous similar hack... Off to keep digging
Some of our active threads can generate multiple PMs per paricipant's post in the thread when they get moved depending on how late a moderator gets to the thread. Thus a user can receive a great many PMs depending on their activity in the that thread.
Is there anyway, for the Thread level PMs to be sent just once per user ids that are participating in the thread? Or somehow combined in one PM for that user?
Thank you this is a very useful feature. I remember going to post or read the post's in one of my threads a few times and found the thread either deleted or altered and not knowing WTF was going on that would really get my blood boiling. I think its only respectful to notify someone when what they posted is altered or deleted. Well thank you again for this mod installed and working fine on 3.6.4
