Moderation Auto-PM v2.0.1

Moderation Auto-PM
Version 2.0.1

What is it?
Moderation Auto-PM will automaticly send a Private Message to the user whenever their thread, post or attachment is moderated using the Thread Tools or Inline Moderation Tools.

It has support for the following types of moderation:
  • Thread: Move
  • Thread: Delete
  • Thread: Undelete
  • Thread: Stick
  • Thread: Unstick
  • Thread: Open
  • Thread: Close
  • Thread: Approve
  • Thread: Unapprove
  • Thread: Title Edit
  • Post: Edit
  • Post: Move
  • Post: Delete
  • Post: Undelete
  • Post: Approve
  • Post: Unapprove
  • Attachment: Approve
  • Attachment: Unapprove
All options can be turned on/off in the AdminCP. Moderation Auto-PM will not show the user where their thread is being moved to/from if they do not have permission to view the forum. You can also set a "master" exclude list of forum IDs that will never be touched by Moderation Auto-PM.

What's new in Version 2.0.1?
  • Added support for opening and closing threads by double-clicking on the thread icon
  • Fixed a bug caused by a missing phrase
Credit for this release goes to ConqSoft, as he notice the missing phrase bug, and suggested the new Ajax open/close feature :)

What's new in Version 2.0?
  • Fully compatible with both vB 3.5.4 and vBulletin 3.6 Beta 2 or above!
  • Support for editing posts / titles using the ajax quick edit bits
  • Support for deleting posts via quick edit
  • Don't send a PM if you are moderating your own thread
  • Send a Delete PM instead of a Move PM if moved to a particular forum (ie, a recycle bin type forum)
  • Age Cutoff Point - if the item is over a certain age, a PM won't be sent
  • A couple of tiny bugfixes that no-one noticed :D
How do I install / configure it?
Please see the install.txt file contained within the zip.

How do I upgrade?
If you are upgrading from a previous version of this mod (any version), just upload the 3 PHP files, making sure to overwrite the old ones and re-import the Product XML, making sure you set "Allow Overwrite" to Yes.

If you are upgrading from PM on Thread Move, please uninstall that hack first, then install this one following the instructions in install.txt

Thanks go to redlabour for kindly providing a German translation for the phrases and to everyone who nominated this mod or voted for this mod in HotM June :)

Important: Unfortunately, my leased vBulletin licence has now expired, and I won't be renewing it until September which means I will be unable to reply to this thread, or update this mod until then. I'm hopeful that the great vBulletin.org community will step in to answer any questions in my absence though :) See you all in early September! :D

Note The screenshots below are only an example of the messages. The message text is fully editable :)

Great work, I'll be installing this later this week, thanks a lot, I've been waiting for this!

Ncturnal 05-15-2006 06:03 PM

So I'm assuming we should uninstall the other mod?

rob30UK 05-15-2006 06:05 PM

Please can you supply instructions for migrating from the old mod, to this mod?

DJ XtAzY 05-15-2006 06:10 PM

awesome... this way users can now know why their threads are mysteriously gone

Omranic 05-15-2006 06:11 PM

Wow !

How Great Is this

I clicked Install & now I'll install it on my forums

Thanks very × very much

Ncturnal 05-15-2006 06:17 PM

Hmm, I got it installed but it doesn't seem to be doing anything.

EDIT: Ok, the PM on thread move is the only part that seems to be working. Close, Sticky, Delete, etc. do not work. I previously had the PM on thread move hack installed, but I uninstalled it prior to installing this one. The install was fine, and the default Yes to all options are still set.
