Okay, so how do you prevent others from starting sites with the same content? After I started my guitar site, specializing in backing tracks, suddenly a bunch of other people (former members) started their own sites using my idea. No big deal to me, that's just the way it works. Sure there are other vb hacking sites and I personally like checking them all out but you can find just about all of them here, regardless.

I dont think there are that many other sites to really be concerned with this. I can only think of 3 off hand for (non-commerical) vb hacks and they are posted here on vb.org as well.

To be honest I dont care what site I go to and if they all feeded from one database I wouldnt have an issue however they dont. The best way is to avoid those site. To submit hacks there is to feed into there cause.

Cmon this is common sense.... Do you all as coders want to have to submit your hacks to twenty different sites to reach everyone and do we as a whole want to have search 20 different sites for hacks.

The only valid point you have made is that you cannot make a point without becoming condescending.

You are using monopoly and competition in poor context.

Last time I checked no one here was making any money from this site or anyone's hacks.

Competition----The act of competing, as for profit or a prize.

Again Paul I ask, what have you won or could win in this competition you speak of?


What I gather is that this site is more of a think tank for vbulletin mods and/or codes. I look at it as a database of information and think that partitioning it would be very inefficient. The other sites are just redundant and making communication between vbulletin coders and those seeking information more difficult.
