The auction idea is good but I don't want an auction site now.

Like I said in the above post:

I am thinking of using a forum for advertisements.
Every post would qualify as an ad and that would be the reason for payment. The pay method doesn't have to be limited to paypal, there are many paysystems out there such as 2checkout and worldpay

If a member places a photo in the ad; like ebay; I want a small thumbnail to show a preview of the item on the outside of the thread.

In the administration control panel I want to have the ability to select the forum where ads can be posted. I don?t want the entire site to be one big classified ads forum right now, just a section of it.

Here is a list of features that I am thinking of:

1: Members have the option of paying per post, buying wholesale posts or have an account where they can view how many posts allowances/credits they have and the option of adding more posts allowances/credits to their account.

2: Administrators have the ability to add/remove posts credits/allowances per user from the control panel. Also administrators have the ability to set which Moderators can add/remove credits on members accounts.

3: Checkout system: When a member submits an ad/post they are taken to a checkout page where they can view the cost of the ad and have the option to continue adding posts or checkout. This checkout page will only appear if the member doesn't have any credits/allowances on their account or if the number of adding posts exceeds their credits. This will leave room for more payment options such as checks or mail-order. I also want to have the option of choosing which checkout system I want to use for the forum such as 2checkout or paypal.

4: I also want to have the ability to set some users as premium members where they have unlimited credits/allowances on their account. This will allow for monthly/annual payments for posting.

5: I think that this can be done now with the vbulletin control panel but I want to set a pixel size limit of width/height on photos placed in ads and also the amount of photos that can be inserted in a post.

6: I want to have the ability to set the word and photo limit in posts per user. This will restrict cheating by users who will attempt to place multiple ads in one post.

7: I think this can be done now with vbulletin but I also want to set whether other members can reply to ads such as a Help Wanted or Lost Dog and so on.....

8: I want the member to have an accounts page where they can view every ad that they have posted with the expiration dates next to them, view/hit counts and replies. I want them to see their credit count also and news from the administrator such as specials.

When their credit count gets down to a low number such as 5 or below the number turns red or starts flashing with a subheading of 'refill needed'

9: I also want if need be to turn an entire vbulletin forum into a classified ads forum with the features mentioned above.

If anyone can see where I am going with this you can add some more suggested features.
