Pay per post/thread.
 

Hi,

Is their a hack out there that will allow me to charge members a fee to post in certin forums.

This is what I am looking for:
I want it to be setup in a way that when a member hits the Submit button for a post it will take them to a 2checkout/Pay Pal checkout form where they can pay for the post with their credit card. When the payment is made I want the member to be returned to the forum and view their post that they just paid for.

Is their anything out there for this task?

There is no such hack.

Also, making members pay to post might mean that you won't get many posts, unless of course, your forum is a specialty forum of some sort.

This hack maybe quite difficult.
Cuz once you hit submit, and goto paypal. You lose all the text the user posted in his post.

Maybe you can say. each thread / post costs an x amount of money. And you have to add "posting" money to your account (with paypal/ect) before posting.

And for each post there account money will be lowered.

Quite a cool hack. but i doubt a lot of people will post if it costs money

There is such a hack. It has never been released here. But there is. I've seen it.

Let me rephrase - there is no such hack here at vB.org. I would also doubt that there is such a hack that charges people per post via Paypal. Not many people would need such a hack.

Where might you have seen it ?

And i agree with erwin. hardly anyone would need such a hack

I am thinking of using a forum for advertisments.
Every post would qulify as an ad and that would be the reason for payment. The pay method doesn't have to be limited to paypal, there are many paysystems out there such are 2checkout and ravecom.

Such a hack would come in handy. I know that it can be done and I will continue to look for it.

I am sure that some genious in here will figure out how to create one.

Check out vBTrader, by trafix. It's not a free hack, but you can PM him for more information. It is something similar.
