Snakes1100, long time no see...
Thanks for the suggestion.. However, I am at a place now that has taken me 10 weeks or so to reach..It does seem that everything works.. I haven't tried rebuilding the attachments, which was my initial failure but I don't want to try it for the fear of undoing everything that has been achieved.. I will mull over this as I do trust your judgement. I will make backups and backups before I attempt to do this.. But is it really necessary? This is the burning question right now.... Imagick is already an option on the server, I have seen it and it is just a click in the box away.. You people seem to understand the ins and outs of this complicated, not user friendly software. If it works, don't try to fix it is where I am at right now..But I do have to keep in mind that you and others know better.. I know very little on this subject and I am worried about losing the functionality that has taken so long to gain... |

Changing the option from GD to ImageMagicK isnt going to break anything you've done so far.
Verify & set the ImageMagicK path in the admincp & config.php, also change the size limits so ImageMagicK can auto resize huge images for example taken from a phone, set them based off the largest size you have set for a image in the attachment manager. |

In the ACP I have no problem, however config.php, I am currently looking at this..
Code:
// Image Processing Options // Images that exceed either dimension below will not be resized by vBulletin. If you need to resize larger images, alter these settings. $config['Misc']['maxwidth'] = 2592; $config['Misc']['maxheight'] = 1944; Hell fire! What am I doing here? |
