I'm really bummed because I was about to "go live" next week with my new site ... only to discover this problem yesterday. I assumed, incorrectly, that this would be a "no-brainer" and should be allowed by vBulletin (not necessarily a mod).
This is why "commercial" products like vBulletin are less agile to adapt to users' requests than "open source" apps like phpBB. Apparently, this need has been around for over 5 years on the vBulletin.com board ... but yet nothings been done about it. Sorry for the rant ... but I feel like I just wasted a month (and over $300) in preparing a site that might just have to get re-written in phpBB. |

So no solution on using this instant email notice in vbulletin 4? And again, we are talking about ANY thread one subscribes to - not simply a thread you have started or replied to. |

I believe there is a working mod for this now. Instant New Thread Notification
I haven't tried it myself because it offers no way to disallow some busy forums from sending emails. |
