I can honestly say it never made my blood boil.
It never affected me one bit and i never found the pictures disturbing. So long as its not your cat or dog then you have nothing to worrie about.
If they kill the dog or cat first then attach the hook you be fine with that as you seem so concerned with live bait - a maggot is live bait yet i dont see you complaining about that and yet that is still Life regardless of size.

You know what, just delete this G-Damn thread. I'm about ready to come through my computer. If you don't or can't find a live animal hooked through the jaw, thrown in the ocean, squirming for life, only to frantantically squirm before being chomped to death disturbing well then I don't know what more I can say. Dead or alive, it's utter evil. I just made a substantial contribute upping the G-d reward and if I could , I woul fly there and take out the A-holes myself. String them up by thier balls.. and they certainly have big ones it appears.

Have a good Damn day.

so why your blood not boiling when people go fishing - like i said its still a live animal even if its just a maggot on the end of the line. You cant argue the point on one animal and not on another.

Yup, life is life despite how anyone sees it. Single cell or otherwise. Of course, because we all grew up with cats and dogs it's bound to hit home and affect some people more than most. This is nothing compared to the real crimes against animals yet we are the first to scream out crimes against humanity when infact humanity is a crime in itself. When's the last time you ate a nice chunk of beef? lamb? or any kind of meat. The debate on methods used in fishing for sharks can be argued (and I'm sure it will be) though there will be other opinions expressed and I'm afraid whether you disagree with lasto or not he is correct in what he's said.

And vb.org does not close threads upon request, i know, because i tried to request.

J.H.C! We can argue the old worm and single cell theory for ever, that argument got old years ago. Can anyone think of another more 21st century argument with oh, I don't know, 21st TECHNOLOGY in mind? Or perhaps an argument based on blanant cruelty to animals no matter what the species is? Again, the single cell, what if it was a worm, bull sheet is ignorant in this day and age.

To not have these pictures affect you? As in that posters words, quiet frankly, is a check mark in the sociopath column. Look it up.

So I guess looking at a bunch of swollen belly starving Ethopian children doesn't bother you either? Let's just chalk that up to 'oh well", that's just part of life. Just part of waring factions."

Shelley.. There is nothing "correct" in what he said. This mentality is nothing more than an excuse to do nothing with a half assed evolution based reason.

Is it now a theory? Last time I checked it was def a fact. If you thought for a moment the abundance of threads where going to be met with a & then you don't really don't know how the majority of the outcomes are more likely to be. Sure, we can argue and debate all day long about the single cell theory your stating it to be and how insignificant other life forms are compared to the cruelty of cats and dogs used as shark bait.

Was I affected by the images, I wasn't, why would I be?. Being realistic rather than hoping to make some kind of difference is wishful thinking. And the sad reality of it is, you know this yourself.

If that bothers you, You shouldn't be posting topics close to your heart.

My heart? Ok.. Well this is more than a heart issue. It's a basic humanity issue.

" Being realistic rather than hoping to make some kind of difference is wishful thinking. And the sad reality of it is, you know this yourself'
No I don't know this. "Hoping to make a differnence'' If we don't try. then we fail.. This is by no means wishful thinking. Sitting back and doing nothing while the rest of the world tries to fix things, is repulsive. Which is 98% of the world.. hate to see stuff, but don't get off their asses or pull out thier wallets to help. Just sit back with their "Wishful thinking mentalit, with their' It's never going to change so why bother" thinking.

OH and I did something about this alright. I'm very proud to be in that do something 2%.
