You're not one of that Landover mob are you Nexia ?
gio~logist has been the only one so far who seems to get the gist of my question. If my initial example were not removed, my question would have more clarity! If someone is interested in answering my question, please, Google any of the usernames listed below Zonzywza ZerftgHyff Yaqvdqsc Xcfndoap Amjnxwop These usernames (and many others) are registered on 100's and 100's of forums (of numerous languages), all the registrations were actioned within a relatively short space of time, the member makes no posts, and does not revisit the forums again. If anyone who reads this can succinctly answer my question as to why this happens, I would hugely appreciate it. Cheers, BUZ. |

p.s. these are not humans... My apologies if I had to bludgeon you with the obvious Why are they the same? Coz they're using the same bot script - which obviously would generate the same "random" usernames ... if not, law of averages take over... Why are they doing it? You mean, other than to spam the forum and generate hits? You got me there... Quote:

I did initially post a question in English.............Only to have a Moderator edit my post, move it from the correct forum, and then have two of this forums' Members attempt to mock me.

lmao. ZUB - There are bots that are sent out to thousands of forums and they do things such as create new accounts, most in an attempt to create spam or gain the access needed to gather information for spam. Exmaple A: A bot is sent to register here on vb.org and then crawls through the site and picks up all of the emails from the programers who put it for donations. Example B: A bot is sent to a male fitness forum to advertise pornography. Since they are bots which go through thousands of forums, a lot of them have the same name. That's what nex was trying to explain. On the other hand A lot of people just have a load of listings under their username simply because they've been surfing the internet and vbulletin forums for years now, and have built up a plethora of different accounts in time. |
