If you don't mark a download modification as installed, the downloaded tag goes away after 5 weeks anyway, it's a short term reminder that harms nothing.

i find it useful as well, most the time i download and test the modification before clicking install, and then usually closing the window before i get the chance to click install and the downloaded prefix makes it nice and easy to find things again

Could you please stop sending me emails that I downloaded files but did not click on Install?
Today I received 2 emails like that. It is quite annoying.

We only send out 1 email per account. If you received multiple emails for this, then you most likely are using more then 1 account. Also it is doubtfull that you received 2 of such emails today as we only send them the 15th of each month.
