What is it: Ever wanted to send a mass private message to a group of members?
well, yeah, but what if you want to specify who gets to send this private message and to whome it should be sent.
Private Messages being an effective tool at times Administrators or Moderators are forced to send mass number of private messages. Currently the limitation of sending private messages for various reasons (such as announcement for certain groups, with certain criteria ?etc) is frustrating and that is why the idea of current hack came along.
Super Private Message will give you the convinous and enable you to provide many different options for sending mass private messages to users by any one you choose to assign this task to based on Conditionals (if):
User's Usergroup is Y.
User's has posts greater than x posts.
User's has posts less than x posts.
User's Join Date is After (yyyy-mm-dd).
User's Join Date is Befor (yyyy-mm-dd).
User's Last Activiy is After (yyyy-mm-dd).
User's Last Activiy is Befor (yyyy-mm-dd).
User's Last Post is After (yyyy-mm-dd).
User's Last Post is Befor (yyyy-mm-dd).
Settings in the Admin CP:
Specify who gets to use the Super Private Message System by Assigning their User Names or User IDs.
Specify the usergroup they can send a mass pm to.
Select what usergroup to be visible for selection(s).
Select to have the assignee change his identity when sending.
Control what fields to be visible for each assignee.
List All assignee, delete/edit them.

When I use this to send PM's, recipients do not get email notifications about the PM (even though they have that preference checked in their User CP options, and even though they get email notifications about other "individually sent" PM's.)
NOW, I'm not saying this is a bad thing, for some "mass PM's" I actually prefer it. But it's unexpected behavior.
Ideally what I'd like to see is a pulldown/confirmation when I create a Super PM. Something like:
-Follow users' setting, with regards to email notification
-Do not send email notification, regardless of users' setting
-Send email notification, regardless of users' setting (including a disclaimer/explanation is suggested.)
Hi, i've got a bit of a problem with this hack. Every time I try send PMs, it just stops and gives me a blank page. I mean, I click on "Count & Confirm" and then a blank page appears and nothing happens... What is the problem?
Hey I have 40k users on my forums.. Um.. if I used Super PM to msg them all at the same time.. I take it that would cause me a issue right? Table locking?
Or whats the deal? Is there batch processing? Or something secure? Or should I just not use this?
No, all seems to be fine, but sending the message doesn't do anything. There are other MassPM hacks that also fail with 3.6, so I assume there's something broken between versions
