umm I'm not fully sure what your talking about, but you said you signed up with trafficxs.com so that you could get more traffic to your site and have better search rankings? I'm not sure how much knowledge you have with programming/seo but you could have probably done most of the things that they do yourself, including submitting your site to those search engines and get good rankings if you have quality content. Plus they claim that they guarantee your page rankings from top 10-40, that's not really up to them either, you could get those rankings yourself without their help.
As for those "3 weeks" sites that you mentioned, if you want to get many members right off the bat, you need to advertise your site a lot and try to find couple of good affiliates who are willing to link back to your website and have high traffic. And most important of all, you need to make sure your site really has something to offer to people so that they would stay or come back, if you start advertising with still having "under construction" pages, then you would most likely lose a lot of traffic, this is something that I learned the hard way
. But remember there is no fast/easy way to anything, and if there is one, it is temperory and you can't always stick to it
