I have several modifications installed on my forum. The drop-down menus on my navbar work on forumhome and forumdisplay, but they no longer work on the showthread pages. I was just curious if anyone had any clue as to why that would be? Is it possible something in the showthread template is interfering? If anyone is willing to take a look at it for me and help me troubleshoot it, it'd be greatly appreciated. I went as far as to remove all my hacks and revert all my templates, then add them back one by one, but I could never pinpoint which it was. Maybe it's a combination of them.

Check to see if it is maybe caused by an advertisement or a user signature breaking the page.
Otherwise posting a link to a problem page, might trigger someone to have a look if they can find the problem. |

It sounds crazy, but 9/10 times it is something to do with the navbar.

Did you fix it? The dropdowns are working fine for me on all pages.

Maybe we have different browsers. What do you use to view the page? At work I use Internet Explorer and they don't work on the showthread pages, where you actually read the posts. They show up everywhere else for me, just not that one page. But it's still an inconvenience to have to navigate back to the main page or to the forumdisplay pages to use the drop-down menus.
I'm stumped. They work for me on this and every other vB forum I visit, so I know it's probably something with one of my mods installed. Ryan |

I tried in FF1.5 and in IE6.
Could it be you're using some old JS after an upgrade or something? Try clearing you cache or doing a hard refresh (CTRL+F5). |

I tried it in FF 1.5 and IE6 too, and it works fine here.

Thanks for checking it out and replying.
After reading the responses, I decided to check it out on FireFox, and it works fine with my admin account. Then I logged in as a regular user (the test account) and checked it... and it works fine? So it only messes up when logged in as an admin... and only in IE. It's only the navbar drop-downs... the thread tools menus are fine. There must be something in the navbar related to usergroups that is causing my IE to flake out. Ryan |
