user verify email

Okay im using this hack https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...threadid=99579

it is really good for the forum.


However i was thinking of something for them to take more note when they have just finished registering.


What im trying to say is, make it more clear that hotmail, yahoo and aol send the email often to the junk/spam folder and steps they may need to do to retrieve the email etc.


If they read this they wont wait 10 hours wondering why they have not recieved it before they email you.


I'm not sure which file to edit so if someone can tell me this i'll do it and then post what i did on this site.


Or maybe someone would like to come up with a better solution to this.

You have to modify the text in the AdminCP > Languages & Phrases > Search in Phrases. Then simply type in 'welcome' and select "Phrase Text and Phrase Variable Name". Then hit search.

One of the results will be the 'welcome' or stock message that apears for user's that aren't logged in. You can then modify it by inputing your version in the translation. You can use this method to change all the messages by simply searching for it.

Alternatively you can simply edit the script itself upon upload and edit the messages within the file itself in any text editor.
