Security question concerning login

I noticed that in vbulletin vers. 3.x and up, that when the login button is clicked, the password field immediately clears (via javascript). This prevents most browsers (so far all but Maxthon) from saving the password in their password managers. The username is saved successfully, but not the pw.

I'm sure I can find where to comment out the code responsible for clearing the txtBox in clientscripts but before I do that, I need to know if it heightens or creates a security risk. Thank you in advance for any answers.

Well this might be moot now. I found the function call in the submit, and just delayed the call to the JS function by 1 second. That seems to give the browsers time to save the pw. Thanks anyway
