Send thread to member by PM?

Is this sort of hack already established?

Say there is a thread i would like a staff member to look at .. i would like to send this thread by PM to them...

Possible? Already developed?

I currently report the post, but that nearly alerts everyone moderating in that section.. unnecessary for me..

Thoughts? suggestions? hopeless
