So I deleted the ADMIN account by accident. How do I fix it?
Not sure which forum this belongs in, but...I could really use some help.
I was deleting a list of members off my forums, and I deleted my admin account. None the other accounts had ADMIN access, therefore I cannot login to my admin panel. How do I go about restoring admin access? Thanks:banana: |

you should be able to do it by...
going to the forum/includes/config.php file. by ftp, download it, then open it in textpad or something in the bottom of it, look at the super Administrators thing, and put ur new accounts id number there. find that number by viewing ur public profile. the last numbers is ur account number Change everything from the Admin Log menu to Super Admins to ur new account number. |

I think if you upload tools.php into your adminCP folder you can do something with a similar effect

Create a new admin account by registering in the normal manner - then upload tools.php (into the admincp folder) also upload the install folder if it's not there - then run tools.php and promote your new account to administrator. Remove tools.php when done.
