Add to "Who's online"
I'm after a code that i can add to my non-vb pages and i want it to automatically add onto the "who's online" page. I believe it already exists but I cannot find it.
For example, i have "page.php" and once a guest visits it, i want the "who's online" box to automatically update saying "Guest viewing page.php". I've already installed the "VB-Login on non-vb page" mod but that doesn't seem to do the trick. Any help is appreciated! |

you can use the modification that allows you to add custom pages to the whos online or you should check out the Tutorials forum and read how to add to the whos online in there.

Na that dont work. iv tried it and it dont work on a file that is outside the forum folder. i mean i know you gotta add global.php or whatever in the external php but it still don't pick it up. what needs to be added in the external php to act with that hook to show guests or members viewing the page??

Hello,
Run a search for "gallery". There is a modification plugin that displays the location of users in the WOL if they are viewing the gallery. The gallery is in its own folder, so if you use that as a guide, you should be able to change the info to your file names. |

>> Thanks for the tip but i cant find anything in the tutorials section .
Use Tutorial Index, which is sticky? See my API Basics tutorial, it has info on how to add custom WOL pages. |

I'm trying to make it so when a guest views my main index.php page (which is sitting outside of the vbulletin folder) the "Current Active Users" guest count will increase. I've included global.php in the main index.php page. When I look at the "Current Active Users" bit, it doens't even recognize that there is a guest there (in that, in the who's online section, it doesn't even show a guest in an "unknown" section). Since the main index.php is in the ../ folder, I can't strpos the folder name as in the example plugin. But more importantly, I just want the guest count to actually increase. I'd be happy if it actually showed the guest in an unknown section. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
