Hi,
as I want to include a few other scripts at my site that user user/pw access for registered users, I'd like to know if it's possbile to share the vB MySQL db. There is a HotOtNot script I'd like to include and I want to use vB as the central user management system. I already thought about a few solutions: 1. Ask the developer of the script to sort it out. - Contra: if he's not know with vB, there can be things messed up. 2. Automatically copy the username/passwd to the HotOrNot MySQL db when a new user registered. - Contra: I don't know if/how this can be done (had to ask a freelancer to develop it) Does anyone have had the problem, giving vB useres access to other programs so that they don't have to register a couple of times? Any help is highly appreciated! Thanks, Sven |

You won't be able to give external access to vBulletin passwords, only to the hash. I can imagine that the script doesn't use the same hashing procedure though, which would make it a bit more complicated.
