ummm, how about a hack where a user from his/her CP could send a email to say 5 friends at once saying hey, its (username) come join the (forum name) and ect. Ya know? I mean I got TONS of ideas for it, and some other scripts to merge kinda thing, anyone interested in teaming up wit me? LOL im not much of a PHP'er tho?

Great idea -- I was just thinking the same thing today!!!!

I'd love to be able to have my girls "invite" their friends in a simple and easy way

It's a nice idea, but it has some rather large drawbacks:

1) If lots of people decide to mail their friends at the same time, your server is really going to feel the strain.

2) This is an open invitation to use your server's email system as a spam gateway. Any script kiddie could put together a little script that could send thousands of emails using your server, without even being on the boards... badness...

There might be a problem... but for every problem there's someone behind the dark walls... who is the hacks kiddie to solve it out....

Well, the developers are working hard to get 2.0 released (and final) so maybe after the release is settled and everything we can talk about this again - they're pretty overloaded right now!
