Split Forums into tables

Hi folks.

I have just installed vBulletin and everything is running smoothly but i have
a couple of questions.

How can i split different forums (with subforums etc) in different tables
(like in vbulletin.org)?

How can i create a table to the right of the main page (index) so i can
put banners in it?
