Guest Search Restriction

With the default vB 3.5 featureset, you must enable searches for the "Unregistered / Not Logged In" usergroup if you want guests to be able to see and use the "Today's Posts" navbar link. I find that if guests can use this feature they tend to hang around longer. What I would like to see is a modification that would allow guests use of the "Today's Posts" link without allowing them to manually perform any other searches.
