Can vBulletin (or a utility integrated into the forum) protect against viruses?
How do forum admins protect against infected files being placed/downloaded on their forums? Thank You. |

Install antivirus software on the web server and have it scan all files created. Most webhosts have one on their servers, but if you own the server, you'll have to install one yourself; either buying or looking at www.SourceForge.net for free ones.

I was afraid of that, the install I have planned will be a dedicated server so I'm not sure how much help I'll get from the host. Do most server level anti-virus packages require manual definition/profile updates?
I'm not sure how much time I can dedicate to this project so I really don't want virus software updates to be a daily chore. Any other suggestions. |
