Couple narbar questions...

This is a two part question regarding the Navigation bar?

1) Navigation bar… I wanted to build a new Navigation bar (see 01.jpg). This Navigation bar can be the existing Navigation bars location minus the Navigation Tree and with ONLY the following links: Home, Forum and Gallery. The Register and Log Out links can appear when appropriate.

2) New Navigation bar … This will look like the original Navigation bar, but dropped into place under the new Navigation bar (see 02.jpg). The Navigation tree and ANY links pertaining to the forums… User CP, Todays Post. New Post, Search and Quick Link. This Navigation bar bar will only appear on pages that apply to the forums, much like the Photo Post menu bar does.

Please keep in mind that I know nothing about PHP so if any help can be “dumbed down” for me, that would be great.

YOu dont need to know anything about PHP, just look for the navbar templates, or the header themplate (depends of what style/skin you are using) and edit it to please your needs =D

Some times rearanging some code will do what you are looking for.

I think to be sucessful at modifying vBulletin, a certain amount of PHP knowlege is a big help. I did take your advice about playing around with the code though... and I got the results I wanted.

Actually, after playing around with the code (copy and paste) I finally got the look and feel I want within the Forum sections of my site: http://www.fareastphoto.com/forums/index.php

The problem is now for some reason, my drop downs for the Search, Quick Links, Forum Tools, Search This Forum, Thread Tools, Search This Thread, Rate Thread and Display Modes are not working.

Any ideas?
