Default NAVBAR omission. What am I doing wrong?

On this forum, for instance, we see the structure links, but not on mine.

Here's a pic of what we see on vBulletin.com

Here's what I see on mine.

Notice that next to "Fender Players Forum" there's no "> current forum" while I'm in a post. How can I change this?

That was the downfall to using images. I've looked and without totally redoing all the phrasing and a bunch of code, its either you use images or you don't.

Because the way we got your images to NOT display on forumdisplay and showthread was by commenting out the breadcrumb trail.

Sorry I can't be anymore help than that.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, Morty. I PM'ed you on your forum as you asked me to last time, but I also wanted to see if I could possibly find the answer without bothering you.

You're right ; it's not impossible, since the other forum I pointed out to you has done it. However, I haven't been able to find a way to do it, yet. If you find a way to do so, please gimme a shout.

Thanks again!

"downfall to using images" .. not sure what that means
check your navigation templates ... your error exists within these templates

that is -- if you haven't modified any .php files or plugins that modifies the $navbits array

add $navbits[breadcrumb] to the top of your navbar template and see what happens

Well, this thread is kinda part 2 of a previous thread where I helped him get IMAGES instead of TEXT for his various Forum Category titles on his ForumHome. Problem is, as you mentioned about the breadcrumbs, is that in order to prevent the images to be displayed on pages deeper in, we had to comment out the breadcrumbs trail.

So its not an error, its a choice Strat has to make on if he wants images on his forum home, or breadcrumbs deeper in.

Hard to explain if you haven't read this thread thoroughly...

I still don't understand what you are trying to do.
On the other thread, you started with navbar then you started talking about forumhome_forumbit.. which has nothing to do with each other.

What are you trying to do?
Do you want the breadcrumbs or not? If so, you will need to add the $navbits[breadcrumb] variable back on the navbar template.

Again, adding banners between forums has nothing to do with $navbits[].

Okay, maybe you didn't read EVERYTHING.

And with everything you said, you are 100% correct.

BUT, the forum templates I was referring to was to REMOVE the breadcrumbs. Its not that he wants images between the forums, its he wanted the CATEGORY names to be images themselves and NOT show the typical Category TEXT which is the vB default.

But by making them images, its by affecting I think the tagline $forumtitle or something along those lines. I don't remember exactly. Problem is, that same tagline is used in forumdisplay, showthread and other templates. But he doesn't want the images to appear on those pages so we had to comment them out.

Basically, he wants breadcrumbs WITHOUT the forumtitles being displayed as an image when in pages other than the forum index.php (forumhome). BUT when in forumhome, he DOES want the images. And with the modification we did, he can't have both. Its 1 or the other.
