I'm soft-launched, and still pretty much a late BETA, but we are actually going to start advertising very soon so trying to hammer out any last major issues...

WHY IS NAESTAR UNIQUE/NEEDED?

Korea is arguably the most exciting and fastest moving internet and IT market in the world right now, having the highest broadband market penetration and some of the most advanced internet technology and savvy users in the world (nearly 30million online out of a total population of 49million!!!!). To give you an example: the ever dominating Google only holds a mere 0.48% of the Internet search market in Korea!! Multi-player online gaming is largest in the world supported with over 50,000 broadband PC game rooms nationwide. Internet tech is now being brought INTO the "west". And mobile phones sport Highdef digital TV broadcast, mp3 players, and 8 megapix cameras.

However, the "Korean Internet" is largely inaccessible to the rest of the world due to language and "internet closed doors" and proprietary issues. And vice versa, Koreans tend not to access English based sites with absolutely no Korean support or how to even try to if they wanted. I'm Korean and American and been working in the Internet industry IN Korea for nearly 5 years.

Naestar.com offers the first, OPEN community for the international and Korean community to bridge the gap between the two internet worlds and communities through open sharing, learning, and just plain fun.

This format gives one the freedom to learn about Korean culture, travel, language, etiquette, entertainment, and business practices and the amazing Korean Internet market (whatever peeks your interest) from Koreans "on-the-ground" and LIVE. This forums bascially just launched, and still needs some tweeking, but there is already a steady growing member base, tons of fun tools and useful features, and a wealth of information available - professional and social level - that you will NOT find anywhere else (no, really!)^^ And feel free to ask ANY question about Korea....and we can give you an answer. One way or another.

A highlight feature of this community is that it is Korean and English language enabled (actually, Chinese, Dutch and German as well!) AND as far as I know, this is the only Korean and English language forums in the world right now. So, this this will be very much be Korea's FIRST introduction to this style forums (common in the English speaking world) as korean forums are VERY VERY different! And new is good in this market. can I ask...was it default in English or Korean?

and can someone try to register? that's not a plug. but someone said they had troubles cause it wouldn't accept the registration till the the third time. :/ and the error message was blank.

any feedback on the design/layout at least?
