Displaying Custom Profile Field in Forumdisplay template
I need to display a custom profile field (field5) on the forumdisplay.php template. I want to show it in the "thread starter" column right below the username.
I asked at the vbulletin.com forums and they said that info isn't available for display in forumdisplay.php, and suggested that I ask for help here. I am pretty desperate for this. Can anybody help? Thanks! (also: I'm new to vb in general. Is there a good place to post requests for paid vb help without getting scammed?) |

Ok, doesn't look like anyone here has a suggestion. Can someone please recommend a good place to seek paid help?

Don't mind them here. I just switched to vBulletin and I am very disappointed in the lack of support for questions such as these; however, I do know php (just give me time to learn vBulletins way of doing things) and I'll help you the best I can. Have a great day, |

Hi Lore Master-
No, I've got it working in the postbit for individual posts. I'm talking about on the forum display template, where it shows the list of threads in a particular forum. On that page, where it lists the starter of the thread, I want to display each user's country next to his name (or probably use the country info to pull in a tiny flag image). But according to the folks at vb.com, you can't display custom profile fields in that template. They suggested I post here to see if someone could write a code mod to do it. I'm guessing it could be called using php, but I don't know php. |
