According to vbulletin.com, "If you do not upgrade, it is very important to at least patch your board."
To patch your vBulletin 3.5.0 or 3.5.1 installation, download the zip file attached to this announcement. |

with the 3.5.x series, most hacks are plugins so are unaffected by upgrading. Some hacks will require redoing the code edits but on the whole they should continue to work no problems.

I have 3.5.0 and dont want to upgrade because I might loose hacks. I have completed the security patch though, which took about 30 seconds and worked perfectly.
This is what my board has: -new skin -cmps (vb adv) with several new modules with modified templates -a post_bit template modification to show a banner after the last post -shoutbox That is about it. Again, I'm on 3.5.0 and wonder if the changes made to 3.5.2 are significant enough to have a major impact on my board if I upgrade? Otherwise, I'll just stick with the patches and call it good. Thanks! |

I recommend upgrading to 3.5.2 as there are additional features and functionality included in this release. The only thing you will need to redo the file edits for is your cmps as the others are either template changes or plugins.
