Session

I need to set an ASP session variable once a successfull login has occured. I am not too hot with PHP, but it looks like there is some class or something vB uses to set it's session?

Can anyone tell me the best (if possible) way to acheive this?

or simply a no this is not possible would be just dandy as I have read countless threads where people are just left waiting...

Ok, well the way i hav iet working is using a hidden iframe...
