For the past few months, I've been receiving topics posted on random locations of my forums for advertising certain products or a guaranteed freebie if you click on a link that goes nowhere. I've gotten things from free plasma screens, iPods, and now Cheerios (yes, the cereal).
I've realized one thing they all have in common... they're all registered out of India. NeoTrace is bringing back unavailable information on the ISPs and registrations, so there's noone to contact. I'm sure other people here have received this same problem... I could block out whole IP ranges, but at the same time I don't want to block any potential users. Is there a single company that's pulling this annoying crap, because I find myself deleting topics on a daily basis. |

I've personally had this same issue in the past, from the looks of it it is an actual person posting it and everything and not a bot. Even know I've seen proof that the vBulletin captcha system can be read. Not always but it can.
You can test it if you like here http://www.pwntcha.net/test.html |

Alright, but even if they are the same person, the IP's aren't exact matches (dial-up accounts maybe?). Is there anyway to contact someone who can take some measures on this? I know India's a little less strict on Internet usage than the US is, but still... what they are doing is going against the terms they registered on, and constant violation is grounds for some sort of action outside the domain.
