summary first post for admin/moderator

Is there a feature available that will allow admin/moderator to apend to an existing post and make it the first? I'll try to explain it a little more.

member "A" created a thread about a particuliar car (let's use Lexus SC400 as an example). After a week, there are over 50 replies. How can a moderator/admin add manufacturer spec as the first post of the first page? That way, if good information need to be added, it won't get lost with all the other posts. Doesn't have to be a car, but I hope the explanation makes a little sense.

automatically create a hidden first post when a member create a new thread? modify date of existing thread?

You could use the "Show First Post on all Pages" Hack and modify it so it applies only for certain threads

Thanks for your response, but unfortunately I do not know how to code. So, are you saying that an admin/moderator can add a 'first' post to any existing thread using the product you listed?
