I like to have my forum running detailed date and time, as in "1 minute ago" time, but I have a news forum where I would like to use normal October 14th, 2006, 1:00PM time. Is it possible to set the whole board to detailed time but one forum to detailed?

Also, that news forum, how do I make it so that it is sorted by thread creation (latest on top) and not by reply?

Can you explain what you mean? There is no sort option in any admin panel that does what i want so I assume its a template edit?
