Obviously he's new to vB so he's thinking of one of these where you have a seprate page to log in but in vB that's not required. At the bottom there already is a login thing that you can move up or where ever you want.

Code:
<html>
<head><title>Log in</title></head>

<body>

<form action="path/to/forums/member.php" method="post">
<FONT face="verdana,arial,helvetica" size="1">
Login with username and password:</FONT>
<INPUT TYPE="TEXT" NAME="username" SIZE=7>
<INPUT TYPE="PASSWORD" NAME="password" SIZE=7>
<input type="hidden" name="action" value="login">
<input type="submit" value="Login!">
</form>

</body>
</html>
Save this as something.htm, edit the path/to/forums/ so that it points to the member.php in your forums directory, and upload

Since we're on this topic, this is something I've been trying to do.
I tried copying and moving the login code toward the top of my page. The text fields display nicely and it functionally, it works. But, It appears even if you are logged in using cookies.
How am I able to only display when the user is not cookied like the one on the bottom?

Thanks
