I was thinking of making a hack that will post a thread in XX forum (selected from ACP) that welcomes the new member.

But what i needed help on, Should i make it so that it looks like the new user posted it or should i have a Welcome Bot post it?

and what stuff should it say in the welcome post?

Yes I would love this! IMO it needs to be started by an admin or mod. The welcome should be editable based on the type of forum you have if at all possible. I run a parenting forum so I would need family or mother related, but a gaming forum or car forum would want it related to that. Or maybe have it so import links to rule guidelines ect are in it.
