RSS To Static Page

Is it possible to output a RSS feed every 10-15 minutes or so to a static page, that I then can include in every non boards page of the site?

My Classic.UBB Board (which we migrated from last week) used to do this.

Having the static page was ideal, since it doesn't hit the DB every time someone looks at a page in the site.... and it drew in people from other areas of the site who might not otherwise hit the discussio boards. My server is already maxed out without pulling from the db everytime someone hits one of our thousands of pages.

If there is a hack to do this already, I apologise in advance for not being able to locate it.

EDIT: AH Crud. I am running 3.0, not 3.5. Sorry for posting in the wrong place.

I looking to do this as well
