I understand that, but here's the reason I wanted the other link.
From work, I go onto my forum a few times a day and I don't get a chance to read every post, which I like to do to be involved in all facets of the board. But sometimes I can't sit there and read every new post that has been posted in the two or so minutes I have to read them. I figure if there was a way to just list the last 50 or 100 posts without having to worry about when I last logged in that it would prevent me from having to go through my 30 categories looking for something I may have missed.
